Take Me Or Leave Me

(They were very popular specially in 70's and 80's)
Take me or leave me but you don't ask me that I believe you any more,
when you are later at home you haven't to invent because your clothes smells firewood of another home.

Take me or leave me. If I am not awake let me dream,
don't kiss me in my forehead, you know that I heard you to come in,
and your kiss tastes like fault, my life.

And you admire me because I keep silent and look at sky,
because you don't see me crying and you feel yourself more little everyday,
and you avoid my look when you look at me.

Take me and leave me. Neither I spy you nor take I away your freedom,
but if you quit the nest, if you are going to abandon me,
Do it before it's getting light outside.

Good job. I'm happy that I could understand that song in Spanish.

    (1) or: don't ask me to believe...
    (2) I do not understand the grammar of "No tienes porque inventar", but I think it means what I wrote above.
    (3) option: nor do I take away...

  2. oh, gee I forgot the last part(probably the best):
Take me or leave me. And if you come back , bring the true,
bring your unbowed look, bring with you my rival,
if she is better than me then I may finally cry

    2. The correct form is "better than I" but many people would say "better than me".
