Perfidy

(Nat King Cole, The African-American that triumphed in Spanish language)
Woman!, If you can speak with God
ask him if I have ever stopped you adoring.
And the sea, which is my heart mirror,
the times that has seen me crying
your love perfidy.
I have looked all over for you where I go
and I can't find you.
For what do I want another kisses
if your lips don't want kiss me any more?
And you, who knows where are you?
Who knows which affair you might have got,
what so far away from me you are.

    (1) The word is quite rare in English. "Treachery" is better.

    (2) I prefer "the mirror of my heart".

    (3) option: I have looked for you wherever I go

    (4) perhaps: Being so far away from me

I didn't know that Cole did songs in Spanish. I see from Wikipedia that he didn't speak the language.

  2. Really? I didn't know that he didn't speak Spanish, he have accent but it is a nice accent. He had to work hard to sing in Spanish.
"Perfidia"is not a common word in Spanish neither, however it is the song title. And it seems "triumph" verb is a few used too.
