(1) For some reason I would want "tells" to be "tells us" or "tells the story".
(2) "first-born son" would often be used here
(3) This has to come first so that the "who..." clause applies to the child, not the father.

ReplyDeletethe seventh sentence: "who sacrifices its own son, just not to be alone, are going to love just a bit." I think the author tries to write a quote, it doesn't refer specially to her, said this, do you keep your correction?
In that case I would make it: "HE who sacrifices HIS own son, just not to be alone, is going to love him little." You could also change "He who" to "whoever".
