The Christmas Book

Last Christmas there was a gift for me in the christmas tree. It was a thick book written in English. The Mammoth Hunters. Then, talking to my wife, she told me that it was an idea of my eldest son. Well, at first I thought it was a crazy thing because the book has about 700 pages. Later, I found out it was written for children, that is to say, using a huge number of synonyms and all possible verbs.
It is like an small learning book but in an exaggerated way. Perhaps, the good thing it is that when you have read a few pages and the plot begins to interest you, the story goes on and goes on, the book seems never ending. That is what I like least about the small books. They are so condensed that you always leave a little empty.
Well, short ago I have begun to read the book. I have read one chapter. I would have loved the story about twenty or thirty years ago. If I am enjoying with its reading is because I know that in a short while my son will be reading the same pages and I will be able to help him with the hard expressions and I know he will enjoy a lot. As he is a normal child, he chose this title for me because he liked it for him. (He is ten years).

Well done, Eduardo. It seems like the type of book I would enjoy reading in Spanish.

  2. Thanks Matt! The truth is that I glanced, days before, at a pair of intrigue books (I and II) that seemed very interesting and their price was sensible. This book seemed to me very monotonous. I didn't imagine a possible interesting plot but, instead, I have found a great display of imagination. I can recommend it to you.
