About Holy Week

Last week, I wrote something about Spaish's traditions about the Holy Week.
Last Sunday we celebrated : Domingo de Ramos, and in the most of the cities and villages of Spain, there was procession wiht Palmas or with olive branches. First, we usually go into the church and the priest blesses the palmas or olive branches.
After that, there is a procession to celebrate the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.
Is with this act, when we can tell that the Holy Week has begun in Spain. ( I think in another countries too, but I don't know their traditions about it)
Yesterday in my village, there was an act. By the way, very interesting, a group of people acted in a play about the last days of Jesus. The play began aroun 20.30 and finished around 24.00 . All the play was represented on the streets, and the actors were dressed with ancient clothes. They are not professional actors, but the did it pretty well.
The stage are all the streets of the old town, the old buildings, churches, etc....  a lot of people are involved in this act.
This kind of act is not only played or represented in my village but also in another villages, cities of Spain. Each one has things different if we compare with the rest, but all of them are a very good way to celebrate the Holy Week.
Tomorrow I will spoke more about our traditions.

Well done, Javier. I would say "play" or "presentation", or maybe even "skit", but not "act". But within a play, the major parts are called "acts", as in Act 1, Act 2, etc.
