An Autumnal Day
The matter is the practice and for that reason I am going to talk about the weather.
Early in the morning I found a white wall in front of the balcony door of the kitchen. It was the fog. A thick fog that, about two hours after, became haze. After a while the sun broke through letting see a pretty sunny day with a few clouds. The pleasant view lasted barely an hour due to some storm clouds pushed and pulled by a strong wind. These blackish clouds presaged a downpour but, conversely, the rainstorm is being only a light drizzle which is drooping since then. Now, this is the view, a greyish autumn day, waterproof jackets, umbrellas, bushes and hedges dark-green coloured, and treetops tinged with a thousand shades. All this punctuated by a thin spitting.
The temperature is relatively pleasant, neither hot nor cold, about fifteen degrees, which I think that it is a bit dangerous because a part of the people wrap themselves much and the other part little and finally, it seems inevitable catching a cold.

ReplyDeleteEarly in the morning I found a white wall in front of the balcony door of the kitchen. It was the fog. A thick fog that, about two hours after (or later), became haze. After a while the sun (broke through)* letting ME/US see a pretty sunny day with a few clouds. The pleasant view lasted barely* an hour due to some storm clouds THAT WERE pushed and pulled by a strong wind. These blackish clouds presaged (better: indicated) a downpour but, IN FACT, the raiN BECAME only a light drizzle which HAS BEEN FALLing since then. Now, this is the view: a greyish autumn day, waterproof jackets, umbrellas, bushes and hedges dark-green coloured, and treetops tinged* with a thousand shades. I *'d the vocabulary that I liked best. The sentence that begins with "Now," is particularly poetic. Estoy a punto de salir con mis hijos y gozar del estupendo tiempo aquí.
Gracias Matt. ¡Que disfrutéis mucho!.
