Whatever They Say

There is more bliss than sorrow in the world.
There are more flowers in the land than rocks in the sea.
There are more clears than black clouds,
and the light is more than darkness.
Whatever they say, whatever they say the others.

They are a lot, many more who forgiven than
who intend to condemn for everything.
People want peace and fall in love
and adore what is beautiful nothing  more.
Whatever...

There is a lot, much more love than hate,
more kisses and caresses than ill will.
Men have faith in the afterlife
ant fight for the good, not for the evil.
Whatever...Lyrics

  2. I thought that (line 4) darkness was without "the" because it isn't a concrete darkness, so, Do you keep the correction?

  3. Your thinking makes sense. I think the real problem with "the light is more than (the) darkness" is that it is saying that light is darkness plus something more. For example:

This pie is more than dessert; it's a masterpiece!
A pet is more than an animal; it's a companion.

So I think the "there is" construction is better. There is more light than darkness.
