to close my wings and to rest on it,
but you have roots, it has already been done a nest in you,
you are a woman who has known what I have never felt,
not that I mind your age, nor that anyone has loved you,
to present me on your branches, I care that you have lived.
You are a leafy tree with sweet and tender branches,
with leaves which give love, flattering and well-being,
and what people speak, neither is it the reason,
what it happens is that I am afraid,
scary to something unknown, to restrict my freedom
by delivering my love and later you walk away
by breaking my heart Lyrics
The English seems to have a stricter placement of the words in sentences, I imagine that sometimes the Spanish looks you crazy, don't you? .Thanks Matt.
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right. We almost always expect subject-verb-object, and anything else sounds strange or poetic. I think that having the strict order is easier, but it requires breaking habits from other languages. I'm still learning the order options in Spanish.
