Laika(a tribute)

It was russian and it was called Laika,
it was a very usual female dog,
it started being a current animal and became a mundial star,
it was put inside a spacecraft to observe its reaction,
it was the first astronaut in outer space.

The rocket is ready to throw,
the ground control says to Laika "goodbye".

All was silent in mission control looking forward to any signal,
everybody, by using headphones, heard barking to the dog,
while there was a big party on the earth,
shoutings, laughters and champagne,
Laika looked through the window,
What will be that color ball? What am I doing turning around?
The rocket...

A night by telescope, a new light appeared,
no one could give a explanation at sun rise,
and if we believe the legend
then we have to think that there is a dog less on the earth
but a star more in the sky.
(I can't avoid feeling sorry for it)

    (1) After it is clear that it is a female dog, we'd probably use "she".
    (2) Did you know that "goodbye" evolved from "God be with you"? In that way very similar to "adios".

  2. (2) I didn't know but I suspected it due to A-DIOS parts.
