Now I want to write about Holy Friday. It's a very important day for the Christians, because we rememeber the Jesucristo's death.
In Spain, there are a lot of processions wiht images of Cristo, Virgen ... in the majority of towns, village. As you know in Spain there are two kind of Holy Weeks. In Andalucia and in the North of Spàin. Both of them are marvellous, but both are pretty different. If in Castilla Leon , eg. Valladolid, processions, images are very serieuses and hieratique, in Andalucia , eg. Sevilla, are totally diferent. In Sevilla, there are more colour, music, songs called Saetas, larmoyant songs .... The images are more rich in clothes, flowers ..... Both are very interesting for everybody.
Holy Saturday, we celebrate the Juda's death, and in my village we celebrate this date with an act only for children :
The wooden doll has a firecracker that explodes in its mouth. After that the wooden doll dances until it runs out clothes. After the act all children can get a ball and sweets.
Holy Sunday
we celebrate the Resurrection Day. In my town, with this tipical and ancient act: called: Bajada del Angel:
After the act everybody goes to eat barbeques. This day is one of the most important days of my village. It is a tradicional day and it's part of our traditions.
Both ceremonies are from the XII Century.
As I told you, I needed to write ABOUT the end of the Holy Week. Last week, I wrote about: Viernes de Dolor, Domingo de Ramos, Jueves Santos.

The swinging wooden doll was certainly interesting!
