Mis primeras Galletas de Mantequilla

Some time ago I dared to make chocolate truffles and it being the first time, I can say, without mincing words, that the experience was a succes. My children and I enjoyed a lot making them and the small brown balls did not last too long in the refrigerator.

Now, when I have been some time thinking in another dessert, the turn of the butter cookies has come. or (it's the turn of the butter cookies) // I do not know what is the better expression//.

It seems an easy recipe. At home we had all the ingredients except the vanilla extract. When last Wednesday my wife and I did the shopping I remembered buying it.

It is about taking a bowl and while you are beating with the mixer, go step by step adding the ingredients. 2 eggs, 1 cup of sugar, 1 spoonful of extract and 300 g. of butter. Then, you have to add 5 cups of flour to thicken the mixture.

Once thick the mixture you have to take it with your hands and spread it on a flat surface with a rolling pin.

Finally, you have to cut the cookies with the moulds and... ready to bake.

It seems easy, does it?.............we'll see.

  1. I cooked butter cookies in December. I don't remeber yet the recipe. They were delicious.
    The ingredients were:
    * 2 eggs
    * 250 gr butter
    * 1 cup suggar
    * flour.
    I don't know if there were more ingredients. The vanille extract no. But I bought it in carrefour.

    1. No, I'm not much of a cook. But you might look for a recipe for "snickerdoodles". It's a cookie with a great name that tastes good too!
