More Reunion
These seem to be a favourable dates to meet with relatives. Today is the turn to eat out with my uncle Cesar and my aunt Amparo. They have not children. They already are retired and any occasion to gather us seems good for them. Well, really, they are not relatives. They lived many years as neighbors in my mother's house. Since they had no children they loved when we went into their house. When I was a little child spent many hours with Amparo. She was more than an aunt, she was a second mother and I think she loved me like a son. Nowadays we keep the same friendship with them but the frequency of our meetings has fallen.
We have arranged to meet them at two o'clock in the old part of the town. Them we will go to eat at a picturesque restaurant "El Charro" in San Agustín Street.
I will have a glass of Rioja's wine to your health!

cheers Eduardo!
ReplyDeleteThank you Javier! When you visit my native land again, and you want to eat a very good "chuletillas a la brasa" and a good salad, don't doubt it, go to "El Charro". You will not regret.
ReplyDeleteNot only "El Charro" is the best place to eat "Chuletillas a la brasa", but also in "Meson el Cid, Calle Guevara), is, in my humble opinion, a place where you can taste a good Chuleton, Chuletillas , and always with a good Wine. But I will write your place ( "el Charro", in my next visit to Logroño), Guess what, when I go to Logroño, I usually go to Laurel Street, and after eat some pintxos ( Champis, cojonudos ....) ... you can imagine can't you?
DeleteBTW Remember the best salads are in my land. My village is now the capital of Vegetable, as you know. Here you can tate the best artichokes, the best asparagous, the best lettuce, the best "cogollos" ....... In your Land the wine, in my land, the vegetables ;)
DeleteI know it, Javier. The father in law of my sister has a vegetable garden and from time to time gives to the whole family, vegetables of all types. I love the asparagus and, of course, those what come from Navarra are the best. However, the zone known as "La Ribera" embraces lands "navarras y riojanas". All its fruits are excellent.
