I think this is the word I am looking for. I believe that education and good manners should be implicit in growing up or development of each person. Unfortunately, sometimes instead of upbringing we have "down-bringing".
I will attempt to illustrate what I mean with something of imagination.
Imagine that you are in another country. People who live there is normal people and you are a strange, and not on the contrary.
Imagine an idilic place in the nature with a wonderful weather. In that place everything is beautiful and everything is care and tidy until the last detail. Tables and benches, litter bins, fireplaces for roasting, recreational areas for children, etc. A comfortable place in the middle of the prettiest and savage nature.
Imagine three or four families with children. The tableclothes on the stone or on the wood, parents chatting and preparing food, children away, playing, shouting and laughing, the soft sound of the river at the back of the spectacular scenery.
In this, suddenly, everybody turns the head, there is a deafening noise. From five vehicles surface a lot of people. Different people, people from a different country with differents features. They are speaking loud, almost screaming because of the loud music which comes from a car. These people are carrying cool boxes, bags with food, tableclothes, blankets; folding chair, tables and sunloungers. They are quickly taking up all empty spaces. It reminds of Normandy landings. It seems an invasion.
They only speak among them. They only look at their faces, the rest of the people (those strange beings) seem not to exist. They show a total indifference to them. They command all the interest, all the attention. All eyes were on they but they were ignoring this fact.
In a few minutes, all the camp was made and...the icing of the cake..., they began to dance. The music, better "the noise", was like salsa or something like that. The movements were of a very bad taste. Judging by their howls of laughter, they seemed to be enjoying it a lot...And We?. We had to pick up our things and go to another place a bit further. A little sad, right?.

Well done. I like "down-bringing" and "howls of laughter". "Savage" always has the violent/brutal sense that "salvaje" has only sometimes.
I'm glad that this was only an imaginary event for you. I assume you have never had this sort of experience. :-)
Está claro que compliqué excesivamente la redacción y el relato ha resultado ser un fiasco. Mi mayor preocupación era que el texto no mostrara ningún atisbo de xenofobia o algo por el estilo. Tan solo quería hablar de educación, modales y comportamiento. Creo que nadie de los que escribimos aquí se comportaría de este modo en su país, pero estoy absolutamente convencido de que jamás lo haría en otro. Más o menos esto es lo que quería expresar.
ReplyDeleteEsto nos sucedió a mi familia y a otras dos el pasado sábado. Dos familias nos desplazamos a otro lugar más tranquilo, la otra familia directamente se marchó.
¿Qué tal estas líneas?, ¿Resulta complicada su lectura?.

ReplyDeleteFor example, your "interrogante": I wanted to say: "La gente que vive ahí es gente normal y tú eres un extraño, y no al contrario." (I don't know if it is bad written or the concept is bad expressed). This was my doubt with the whole text.
Talking about vocabulary: "fiasco" is a word adopted from the italian, similar to "fracaso". There is another word (an onomatopoeic word): "chasco" very used in Spain. Its meaning also bears relation to (decepción y fracaso).
