Karina: yes, it's true, we have a lot problems
Roberto: It's interesting to speak directly with someone far away of news.
Karina: I can say, just that we lost the Crimea, and now all country is afraid that we can lose north part
Roberto: then you don't agree with Russia
Karina: it's very bad that now in Russian and another part od Ukraine the mass media is a psychological prison that turns humans beings into obedient mental slaves, so we don't agree with Russia, because a lot of information is lie.

Karina: I think that it is amiss, because people are suffering especially Ukrainian people
Karina: I think that it is amiss, because people are suffering especially Ukrainian people
Roberto: Do you really mean that he obey to someone?
Karina: It's hard because I really I don't know. At the start I think that USA have a power over him, but we lose the Crimea, I don't know. I think he did not surrender

Karina: yes, I know it but I mean different situation, for example like Group of Eight. it isn't Obama, but USA was very active in this situation

Roberto: Now Putin could easily invade Ukraine
Karina: I hope that this will not happen. I hope he is satisfied with the Crimea for the first time, my country need time to at least improve the economy, but he certanly enjoyed our helpessness

It's great to hear (read) the perspective of someone in the middle of the crisis. And it's also great that you two could communicate in a language that you are both learning. Regarding the English, the only part that stands out is the use of the word "obey". To me, no political leader will every OBEY another. We can only hope that he will LISTEN TO or BE INFLUENCED BY another.
ReplyDeleteThanks Roberto for this interview. But I think in Ukraine, currently there are two groups of people: ones for UE and the other for Russia. What will happen? I don't know, but I think they should be free to choose what they want. In my opinión, there is a big problem, and the origin of this problem is in the Ukraine Economy. they are suffering a big economical crisis, They have natural resources ( gas) They are very good at agricultura, they have a lot of cereal to export ..... so I think Russian doesn't lose the oportunity and neither do Europe ( is it correct this expression? )
ReplyDeletePeace, Words, and let people living in peace with resources to live and enjoy.
yes, you are right Matt, it was confused with the amiss word meaning, but I got it, thanks.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Javier, I think that we must not take part any group, my opinion is only against Russian process
Roberto,
DeleteIs Russia losing power in the world? And it's for these reason that she wants to rebuilt the ancient system or country? I don't know. I am only observing. I would like to be partial, but in my opinión, I think Ukraine should be take part of the European Community. Obviously, they will win more than they will lose. They, probably, will receive money and resources to improve their economy. At the same time they will be free and they will have more oportunities to sell their gas, cereals, ...... It's only my opinión. But at the same time i think they have a strong history so I think it's difficult to forget. Roberto, I want to be partial. But yesterday in the news ( radio) I listened to the journalists that the Ukranian politicians ( in the Government), didn't know what to do. It's a serious problema indeed.
I don't know. It's a big debate.
