I understand your reasons Matt, but I think that the problem is how Russia do the things, because the respect International rights is the only way to avoid wars especially front of the powerful. If we justify illegal violent actions then we would return the time several centuries ago. We have to look for the way to solve conflicts without creating new conflicts. At the beginning of Ukraine crisis, Putin told that Russia wouldn't involve that issue, He lied because he worried about his interests in Black Sea. Putin has taken advantage a political and militar oportunity, and he shows its might ignoring the international diplomacy. In my opinion, we have to focus in the legal borders movement process, of the contrary, we will create new conflicts.

ReplyDeleteI would like to answer Roberto or I would like to express my opinión about the current conflicto that we are living.
Until 1950 or later, Ukraine or Crimea were part of the old USSR. When in 1991 the old USSR disappeared, we witnessing the birth of new countries. We mustn't forget that the culture of all theses "new countries" is based on the Russian backgrounds, and these backgrounds are very strong.
Now Russia, wants Crimea, after that , Ukraine, ....
Are we facing a new resurgence of the old "USSR", being Russia the principal country. I don't know what is happening, but if Ukraina is free to choose if she wants to be part of Europe or Russia, is only her election.
The main problem is the citizens. In all politic conflicts are they who suffer. They are who loose, they are the main victims. I hope new winds of hope and peace for all the world.

DeleteJavier you have got good feelings at the same that Matt, but it isn't enough, we need International rights and defend them.
But with words not with wars. It's only my opinión. At the end, I can't understand what is happening there. Mass Media have diferent opinions and sometimes it's pretty imposible to know if Russia is playing the good role or Wester Countries are playing the bad rol or Russian is wrong and Wester Countries are right. Certainly, I don't know Roberto.
