With Two Beds Empty

Nor I embroider handkerchiefs, nor you break contracts.
Nor I kill for jealousy, nor you die for me.
And before you love me like it is loved a cat.
I go with any one that he looks like you.
I open wide the doors that you close.
Some tell me that forgetfulness doesn't suit you so bad.
The peace that you has chosen is worse than my war,
the one that could have been and the one that will never be.

However I can't never go downwind,
which bites the corners of this impious city.
Poor sorcerer's apprentice which spits the firmament,
Since a luxe hotel with two beds empty.

Who will make your work under my skirt?
Does, the mouth that was mine, what mouth will be from?
Your broken navel doesn't already turn its back when
I lost with you the enthusiasm to win.

Because of I pay in cash, a kiss never lack me.
When I confess, I give myself the absolution.
I don't already *close the bars, nor I make so much excesses,
every time are sadder the love songs.

Although I never shut up, I keep a pair of secrets.
I tell it of man-to-man, of woman-to-woman.
Nor** I marry anyone, nor I put it amulets.
For not having, I have no age to deserve.

May the ink be damned that wets my papers,
May the third person of plural be dammed,
the fingernails that nails there where it hurts.
If my mascara running when you make me to cry
Lyrics

*to close a bar = to remain drinking in a bar up to its closure
**I don't marry anyone = I don't trust anyone

  1. NEITHER DO I embroider handkerchiefs, nor DO you break contracts.
NEITHER DO I kill for jealousy, nor DO you die for me.

The peace that you haVE chosen is worse than my war,
the one that could have been and the one that will never be.

However I [] never KNEW HOW TO go downwind(1),
which bites the corners of this impious(2) city.
A poor sorcerer's apprentice which spits OUT the firmament,
FROM a luxURY hotel with two beds empty.

Who will DO your work under my skirt?
The mouth that was mine. What mouth will IT be from?
Your broken navel doesn't turn its back ON ME ANYMORE(3) when

    (1) better: with the wind
    (2) an uncommon word ("unholy" would be better)
    (3) I think "anymore" conveys the sense of "ya" here.

  2. I took the structure from another entry "Nor You, Nor No One" because I thought that it worked.
Neither do you eat, nor do you let eat = ni comes ni dejas comer (typical Spanish expression)
    (3) if I say "I don't already close the bars" means I have just stopped to close bars but in the future I might do it again.
however if i say "i don't close the bars anymore" means that I won't do it again in the future. do you agree?

  3. If you look back at the "Nor You, Nor No One" entry, you'll see that I suggested "neither" there also.

    (3) Your understand of the English is correct. And now I understand the Spanish better.
