At his 11-year-old the little J. is in a hard situation. Life never behaved well with him. His mother abandoned him when being 5 years old and since then, Don Silvio, his stepfather takes care of him.
However, Don Silvio is a humble "sacoleiro" one who spends his time carrying merchandise from a side to other for a few dollars that hardly reaches to subsist. For this reason the little J. is obliged to work every day taking care cars in public car-parks from Ciudad del Este to try to help at home and have a plate on the table a day more.
A morning like any other, the little J. must cross running the grand avenue. He just saw a car in the other side in the street which it is going to park and he must be in a hurry if he wants to get some guaraníes tip. Today he is not lucky. While starting to walk down by the street, a car suddenly comes up with great speed and hits to the little boy dragging him tens of meters.
He, seriously hurt, is taken to local hospital where in some occasions, the doctors have to stabilize him to keep him alive. Anyway the hurts are too much serious, and J. must be taken to the emergency room, of the capital's hospital.
Very quickly , the health workers get to arrive up to the capital having to reanimate him again during the journey to avoid his dead. Eventually J. came to intensive care unit from emergency medical hospital from Asunción(Paraguay).
But the hospital has no means, nor reserves and J. needs medicines to survive, among them are the valuable adrenaline blisters which reanimates him when his vital constants fall dramatically.
Meanwhile, Don Silvio, his stepfather, cries on his knees in the aisle of intensive care unit from the hospital, begging the lucky come at least this time and to be able to get the medicines for that the little J. survives.
The ending of this story is not written, it didn't happen one year or two years ago, it is happening now.

I have just learned that "to resucitate" is different meaning than "resucitar" in Spanish.

To "resuscitate" means to restore to normal human life, like "reanimar". Lazarus was resuscitated. But we say that Jesus "resurrected", because his new life was of a different form. So there are definite differences between "resuscitate" and "resucitar".
