Today is a special day.
From one hand, Spain is living a controversial day. Nationalisms are on the rise, in differents regions. Cataluña, is celebrating an unofficial referendum, where people have to say if they want to be a state different. The result will be possitive because only people for the independence are going to vote. It's a crazy day. The fight between the Prime Minister of Spain and the "Prime Ministre ( The person who manage Cataluña's Govern), has been on the newspapers, in all TV.... They wanted to be compared with Scotland, But both cases are differents.
This grown (of nationalisms), is very dangerous for our society. Before, Europe was divided, later, joined and now some countries want to be independents.
On the other hand, Germany is celebrating the 25th aniversary of the fall of Berlin's Wall. It's a great event. 25 years ago, the county was divided in two parts. Families divided, people was angry, sad ... but now 25 years later, all are the same country. One of the strongest countries not only of the UE but also of the World.
I wish the example of Germany guides us in the future.

On the other hand, Germany is celebrating(1) the 25th anNiversary of the fall of THE Berlin Wall. It's a great event. TWENTY-FIVE(2) years ago, the country was divided in two parts. (1) Notice that one can celebrate an anniversary but not a referendum. In English "to celebrate" pretty much means "to have a party".
(2) Spell out a number when it begins a sentence.
(3) better: I hope that the example of Germany guides us in the future.
