Marijuana in Colorado
Since first of January is legalized Cannabis, as known as Marijuana, in Colorado State, USA. Firstly it provoked long rows to buy a such substance. Recently I spoke with a contact in Denver, the capital of State, he told me that the police had more work now. I can imagine that ,in most cases, people are braver to commit an offence or even crime under drug effects. In addition, It isn’t defined the limit of consumption allowed to drive. Nowadays there are many people are supporting permissive laws for Marijuana, whereas President of United States Obama has declared his supporting saying “Marijuana is no more dangerous than Alcohol”. But finally there is a statement from White House trying to clear this issue: http://www.whitehouse.gov/ondcp/ondcp-fact-sheets/marijuana-legalization Secondly the DEA(Drug Enforcement Administration) considers the most dangerous class of drugs with a high potential for abuse and psychological and physical dependence. I ask me if politicians are always look for joining the majority. In conclusion, it seems there be a controversial topic of kind health and legal. The debate is deeper for me ¿Why humans need help to come out of reality?

Well done, and thoughtful. I have mixed feelings about the issue. I expect that Colorado will see more cases of impaired driving, and there will be some reconsideration.
*They are.
Good Article Roberto. I thought that the legalization of Marijean, it was to use in medical cases. But reading your article, I think that in Colorado, you can use Marijean, when you want. In my opinion, it is very dangerous. Everybody is free to consume whatever they want, but we can forget that Marijean is a dangerous drug. Alcohol is a drug, but I think there is a law to follow behind, there is a legislation. Now Governments have to work to find a new law to control the production of Marijean. We can forget that this kind of business can generate a lot of money, and in much of cases the laundry money will be used to hide this business.

*I don't know this term. Perhaps you meant "Mary Jane", an English nickname for marijuana.
**This phrase makes more sense to me in the negative.
I assume that one of the arguments in favor of legalization is that it will displace organized crime groups and money laundering from the enterprise. A second argument is that the legalized industry can be taxed, to the benefit of all. Many of the same arguments have been made recently regarding gambling.
One of my concerns about all this is that, for many people, the civil law is their only moral guide. If something is legal, they assume it is right and even beneficial. Perhaps the marijuana tax money should be used to educate people about its detrimental effects.
Thanks Matt. I don't know if Maryjean is a british term to refer to marijuana. But I heared in this song:

It is sung by Rodriguez. He lives in Detroit. It's for this reason I used in my post.
Javier, I didn't listen to the song but I see in the lyrics "MaryJane". Regardless, I understood you.
