Religion

I don't know which is the official religion in The Usa. I know there, you can find a lot of religions. But I don't want to focus on this point.
Curiosly, this evening, I read an interesting post about one of the states, Tenesse. In this post, it was said, that the South of The United States of America is called the Bible's belt. Weird afirmation. But my friend show in the post a picture of a bag of corn snacks, where it was easy to read:

I don't know if that passage of the Bible belongs to the Catholic Church or another religion. Because most of the religions have their backgroudns in the Holy Book.
I wonder if the product is managed for people of this religion, or they are getting "addicted" ( I know it isn't the correct word.)
For me it's bizarre becase in Europe it's difficult to find this kind of sentences in the goods that you buy in groceries or supermarkets. Some times you find messages like: It can be consumed by muslims, or apt for Jewishs.
Are there more products with this kind of messages? Curious.

*There is no official religion. In fact, this is an important element of our national identity. Many of the first European settlers were fleeing religious persecution by established churches.

**I've heard my city called the "buckle" of the Bible Belt.

***That passage is found in all Christian Bibles.

    ****good word

    *****acceptable for Jews = kosher

Great topic, Javier. Messages like this are quite rare. They come from small, private companies. I remember buying a pocketknife once and it came with a message more extensive than this one. The "Bible Belt" refers to the abundance of Bible-centric churches across the south of the country, which is where I live. I, being a Catholic, am part of a small minority in the area.

  2. They are proselytizing, trying to make converts.

  3. I agree with you Matt, but I think that there are a lot of religions in the States and all of them are based on the Bible. Each one has his (its) own interpretation about the Holy Book. So, sometimes I don't know what to think when I listen to someone frome the states talking about their (his) religión. It's difficult when you are used to living in a country where you can find few religions ( Catholic, Evangelist, Muslim ...)
But, now there are a lot of business behind the "new religión", and sometimes, when someone has been proseytized, he lost all his money, properties in favor of this religión. Very dangerous. Because they are playing with the feelings of people, and this is unfair.
