Courage is one of the skills to speak better another language

Last year I was one of those persons who thought that the courage to speak English was going to arrive alone someday, and I there was just waiting, keep studying grammar structure, vocabulary, the accuracy of language to be exact in the communication, seeking to have all the tools to someday speak English with confidence. But the truth is that learn an idiom is a process that demand courage, this is the first step and of course other things like determination, ambition and look for the opportunities and make a lot of mistakes. If I’m not failing then I’m not pushing myself enough.

I learned this listening the RealLife Radio #154 podcast where two of the experienced team of native Fluency Coaches Justin and Ethan talked about this topic begining with the quote: Life begins at the end of the Comfort zone. Your comfort zone it's an imaginary area where you feel most comfortable. Basically, when you are doing the thing you already know how to do. When there is no challenge, things that you know, that you do well, instead of proving something different to grow and become the best version of yourself.

Justin and Ethan also say that It's definitely much more fun and relaxing and enjoyable, to talk with someone who makes a lot of mistakes, but they are a confident communicators that really want to share a conversation at that moment than with a person who is wanting to speak correctly and so they keep stopping and correcting themselves constantly over and over again. The conversation doesn’t have the same flow, so as long as you can communicate clearly and make your ideas understood it's not so important that you make mistakes as long as the conversation is able to flow like that. And then in other time, try to understand what were the mistakes.

To have a growth mindset it is important to recognize that failure is natural, that we are going to have troubles and difficulties but we can deal with them. This failures will make us strongers, they’ll make us better. The important thing is to have the right attitude to those failures.

So, lets have the courage to keep failing!
